Rwanda for sometime now has worked hard to establish itself as a tech hub. Despite only being a small market, it has aimed to attract serious investors and startups alike.

Launched in 2021 by Co-creation Hub (CcHUB), in partnership with Google, Mojaloop Foundation, and the government of Rwanda, Fintech Innovation Program, is one of the initiatives designed to accelerate Rwanda’s digital transformation in order to drive inclusive economic development by leveraging technology as well as fostering a pan-African innovation ecosystem.

Early-stage fintech startups and innovators will be supported with at least an MVP through an incubation program by CcHUB. There will be two cohorts of 15 startups over the course of the year, with a $10,000 grant to each selected company.

Startups headquartered and/or operating in Rwanda, startups with already launched product in the market or at least an MVP, registered business that has been in operation for at least 6 months and also startups with at least one full time and dedicated founder are eligible to apply before 20th February, 2022.
