The Bank of Ghana (BoG) in a notice (NO BG/GOV/SEC/2022/02) dated March 8,2022, send a warning to the general public to detest from participating in a money doubling scheme named “Bitcash Currency Exchange” which claims to be approved under the BoG.
Recipients of messages from the said Bitcash Currency Exchange” risk losing their funds, social media accounts and contacts.
Prospective investors are advised to verify entities they wish to make investment at Bank of Ghana or any relevant authority prior to investing funds in order to enjoy the protectection under the laws that govern banks or finance institutions in Ghana.
Citizens are advised to report illegal financial transactions or investments to the Bank of Ghana via complaints.office@bog.gov.gh
BoG informs the public that it has not licensed such entity or any cryptocurrency exchange platform.
