Innovate Finance has opened applications for the Women in Fintech Powerlist 2022, highlighting the pioneering women championing financial innovation over the last year.

The list will highlight 200 women across eight categories, including a Standout 45, which will cover the 45 women who are making a real and lasting impact in fintech, over and above their day-to-day roles.

This year will see the introduction of a new category: Industry and Knowledge Champions.

“As our Powerlist has grown in size and popularity, we want to continue to highlight the ever-growing community of women who are making such an impact on our sector”, Innovate Finance said.

Last year, Funding Circle’s Lisa Jacobs, CapitalRise chief executive Uma Rajah, and Zopa’s head of peer-to-peer lending Natasha Wear were among the women who were honoured for their contribution to the fintech sector.

Innovate Finance also named Jude Cook, chief executive and co-founder of ShareIn as a leader in environmental, social and governance (ESG) innovation, while Roxana Mohammadian-Molina, chief strategy officer at Blend Network, was identified as a senior leader in the fintech field.

Zopa and Funding Circle won several spots on last year’s list, with Isabel Pitt, Zopa’s head of core services, being recognised for her services to technology, while Funding Circle’s UK head of compliance, Chia Lee, and head of strategic partnerships Fran Warrington also getting nods.

Applications for inclusion on the Women in Fintech Powerlist 2022 list are open until 16 January 2023. Applications can be made for yourself, or you can nominate someone else.
